The Lynn O. Primm Texarkana Newspaper Collection is composed of newspapers primarily from the Texarkana Daily News and Texarkana Gazette.

Collection Historical Note

This collection was donated by Todd Primm, in memory of his father, Lynn Primm.

The family of Lynn Primm provided the following information:

Lynn Primm, born July 20, 1940, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday August 21, 2019, at his home in Atlanta, TX surrounded by family and friends.  Lynn Primm is preceded in death by his parents, David Otto and Barbara Lerlene (Snider), brother John Primm, and sister Carolyn Primm.  He is survived by wife Clara (Powell) Primm, sons Perry Primm and wife Samantha Sherman of Houston, TX, Pierce Primm and wife Jennifer of Pinehurst TX, and Todd Primm and wife Elizabeth of Huntsville, TX; brothers David Primm of Eldorado, AR, Charles Primm and wife Evelyn of Atlanta, TX; and sister Marilyn Primm of Camden, AR; and nine grandchildren, Sidney, Mekenzie, Jacob, Pierce Jr., Parker, Joshua, Clarissa, Abigail and Johnathan. Lynn graduated from Fairview High School (Camden, AR) in 1958 and then attended the University of Arkansas where he obtained his Chemical Engineering Degree in August, 1962. After graduation, Lynn went to work for International Paper Company in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Mobile, Alabama and finally made it to Texas to the Domino Paper Mill from which he retired in 1995. Lynn was also a cattle rancher, enjoyed golfing with friends and loved to sing in the Master’s Men and Choir at First Baptist Church, Atlanta, TX where he served for many years. Lynn was united in holy matrimony with Clara (Powell) Primm on June 15, 1963. This marriage blessed Lynn and Clara with three sons, Perry, Pierce, and Todd Primm.
