Scope and Contents of the Materials

The Congressional Memorial Address Collection contains bound programs and transcripts of memorial services given to the United States Senate and House of Representatives in honor of deceased political figures.

Collection Historical Note

This collection of materials was donated to the Special Collections department by James Patton. These books were originally gifted to James’ grandfather, Nat Patton. Nat Patton served as a member of the United States of Representatives for the 7th District of Texas from 1935 to 1945.
